New blog
I'm happy to report that I have a new blog, which you can check out by clicking on "Blog" at left. I will try to add to it semi-regularly, so please check back if you like what you read.
(Hint: If you're not used to blogs, the newest posts are at the top, so you might want to start reading at the bottom.)
I've also re-posted my (rather hilarious, if I do say so myself) travelogue from summer 2003, called Thoughts of Trains, in case you would enjoy reading that. It's also linked to on the blog page.

I have a new website, cendipede.org, which will present the product of my doctoral thesis project, the Corpus-Derived Profiles framework, and the Java implementation of the framework, known as CenDiPede. Check it out if you’re interested in studying word meaning in corpora.

I'm the creator of Dexter, a suite of software tools for the analysis of linguistic data. It's free software that helps you do detailed analyses of spoken or written texts. Feel free to try it out!
Reference Checker
If you write academic papers, feel free to try out my Reference Checker. It's a free online tool for cross-checking all the references in a paper with the bibliography. It has even been called "one of the best things you can find on the internet" (and not by me)!
